˚The Hottest Thing in Tech this Week

AI hype was the buzz for 2023, but in 2024 expect to see this go from a novelty to a legitimate gamechanger in consumer and enterprise tech. And while AI had a front seat, we are expecting some old stories take center stage in 2024. Here’s 5 trends we are watching:

  1. Small Language Models - AI models will get smaller and more specialized to fit on mobile devices with Google’s Gemini Nano, Samsung’s s24 AI phones. Finally, Apple just released its “LLM in a Flash” plans for running AI on iPhones.

  2. AI copilots and Agents - A big trend will be using AI to assist in daily life. Microsoft just released its new Copilot AI app for iPhones, iPad and android which will help users with everyday tasks.

  3. Robotic Agents - Another trend is agents in the home. LG just revealed its Bipedal AI robot as part of its zero-labor home vision. This cute little bot scoots around your house, monitors the environment and security and controls appliances and devices.

  4. Hardware and Devices - Expect this battleground to remain fierce. Apple’s ex-VP of iPhone just joined Sam Altman and Jony Ive to build an AI device. Meta’s high-tech Raybans. And Apple just won a patent for an external display on AR goggles — the system will display if the wearer is busy or on a zoom call etc via various icons indicating they are currently immersive.

  5. Crypto ETFs - Jan will be an interesting month as all eyes are on the US SEC to approve spot ETF applications from major US financial titans in the US. But, we just heard today they may delay this decision again.

"Our groundbreaking smart home AI agent combines cutting-edge autonomous mobility and AI technologies with advanced communication capabilities and services to help free customers from household chores."
